Welcome to the University of Utah Laboratory for Experimental Economics and Finance (UULEEF)! The lab is dedicated to research in the economics of financial markets.
Although recently founded, the lab has a well established mission. It aims at understanding some of the basic principles by which aggregate patterns in competitive markets emerge as a result of the interactions between economic agents. It is being built using the well established patterns of laboratories like CLEF (UULEEF's parent laboratory), EEPS, SSEL, and CASSEL. Like CLEF, UULEEF is mainly a cyberspace laboratory. The financial markets that we design operate over the Internet. Therefore the experiments can be conducted in any computer lab on the U of U campus as long as internet connection is provided. Whoever decides to participate is paid a show-up fee plus an amount for the participation that depends on the outcome of the experiment. In order to participate, one must first register in our subject pool. A link to the registration page is provided below.
UULEEF is financed by the David Eccles School of Business' reimbursed overhead funds.
